History

Nestled in the little village of Bryant, IN is the Redeemer Lutheran Church. The congregation is comprised of former members of Zion Lutheran Church of New Corydon, IN and Faith Lutheran Church of Bryant. The merger came as the result of the fire in 1971 that demolished the Zion building.

The Bryant church has it’s beginnings in 1874, when the members were meeting in a saw mill and a school house. The New Corydon Church had their first services in a Methodist Church building in 1881. In 1932 it merged with State Line Lutheran Church (founded 1854).

Because of their love for their Saviour, their faith in Him and the love for the members of their church family the Redeemer Lutheran Church continues to press forward to welcome God’s children and serve their needs wherever they may live.
